Working at Mika

We’re looking for talented people, who share our passion for building great products that millions of people bring inside their homes.

Our Story

Mika is a proudly crafted brand under Maximus Accessories Co., Ltd., (est in 2011)

From the very beginning, we set out to create physical products that are not only functional and intuitive but also a joy to use. Our journey began with high-quality leather goods designed for Kindles, tablets, and smartphones. Over the years, our Kindle covers have been sold across Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam, earning a loyal customer base that values both design and durability.

In 2017, we launched one of our most beloved products: a square ceramic coaster that looks like a decorative tile, absorbs water, and can be fully customized. It quickly gained popularity in Japan and Vietnam, and today we’re proud to have dedicated resellers in Tokyo, Beijing, Saigon, and Hanoi.

At Mika, we believe in crafting products that bring a spark of happiness to everyday life. Seeing that spark in our customers’ eyes is what drives us. If you’re passionate about meaningful, well-crafted products, we’d love to have you on our team.

Information Architecture Specialist (1-Time File System Overhaul)

Project-based | Freelance | Remote or Hybrid

🧩 Project Overview:

We’re a vertically integrated fashion / gifts brand that’s grown stable over the past 7 years. As we scale toward enterprise-level operations, we need to redesign our internal file system and knowledge architecture from the ground up.

We're looking for a smart, detail-oriented specialist to audit our current file storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, Notion, etc.), design a clean new system in Google Drive, and migrate files in a structured, phased way.

The outcome: a centralized, searchable, future-proof digital workspace that supports scale and eliminates chaos.

🛠️ Project Scope:

  • Audit all current file locations and folder structures (Google Drive, Dropbox, Notion, Paper by Dropbox, etc.)
  • Design a centralized system in Google Drive, using master folders + shortcuts for department-specific distribution
  • Define naming conventions for folders, files, and collections (in collaboration with stakeholders)
  • Plan & Execute Migration of existing files into the new structure without disrupting daily workflows
  • Set Up a Backup Strategy(cloud or local) for key company data
  • Document the System and create a simple SOP for future use and training

🧠 You Might Be Right If You:

  • Have experience organizing large, messy digital file systems into clean, scalable structures
  • Know Google Drive inside and out—especially shared drives, permissions, and shortcuts
  • Have strong communication skills—you’ll need to collaborate across teams to understand needs and align naming logic
  • Think in systems and love clean information flows
  • Bonus: You've worked in a fashion, product-based, or creative company before

💬 Timeline & Compensation:

  • Estimated timeline: 2-4 weeks
