Working at Mika
we're building objects that hold culture.

we're a small Saigon-based team making everyday objects out of the things people are quietly obsessed with — a scene, a sound, a corner of culture nobody else is paying attention to. we're looking for people who notice that kind of thing too.

Our Story
from one coaster, a small obsession.

Mika started with an engineer's problem: condensation rings on a table. The fix was a porous ceramic tile — and somewhere between solving that and shaping it, an old memory of Vietnamese floor tiles turned a coaster into something else entirely.

what followed was years of digging into why people love one pattern and not another. the answer was always the same: a pattern is a culture, pressed into clay. today Mika works with independent artists across different scenes, and a growing community of people who collect every release.

our vision forward: more subcultures, more artists, more little strong Davids — carried in 9.5 centimetres of ceramic, into homes everywhere.

we believe work is also about relationships

this is why we put a lot of focus on making new friends and having fun
